This Package Includes
DEXA Bone Density Testing
Osteoporosis is, in part, a consequence of menopause and the postmenopausal period. It can lead to fractures, such as hip fractures and spinal fractures, and significant bone deformity. The heartening news is that bone loss can be assessed, simply and painlessly, with DEXA Bone Density Testing, the most advanced assessment of bone strength. You and your physician will also take steps to treat any bone loss found before you’re at risk of fracture. You will also learn how to prevent bone loss, and possibly even re-build bone.
DEXA Body Composition Scan
Your weight as measured by the scale is far from the whole story. The scale does not tell you, as the DEXA Body Composition Scan does, how much muscle mass and body fat you have. It’s important to know because the more lean muscle you have, the more calories you burn – and the quicker you reach the leaner body you want. DEXA is also very motivating. Regardless of what the scale says, you know you’re on the right track. You can feel it, you can see it, and your DEXA results prove it.
RMR (Resting Metabolic Rate)
Any weight-loss struggles you’re experiencing may be related to your resting metabolic rate, or RMR. Your RMR is the number of calories your body naturally burns every day with little or no activity. If your RMR is 1,800 calories, you’d lose weight on a 1,500-calorie diet. But if your RMR is 1,300 calories, you’d gain weight, unless you’re exercising every day.
