The classes will take place:

Diabetes Cooking & Dining
April 14 – April 27, 2007

and

Learn To Cook & Dine Pritikin
July 21 – August 3, 2007

"Diabetes Cooking & Dining" and "Learn To Cook & Dine Pritikin" will be taught by award winning Pritikin chefs Drew Rosen and Anthony Stewart, and by Pritikin Master Chef Consultant Allen Susser, who has received Top Table Awards from Gourmet Magazine.

The new cooking program will be woven into the internationally renowned Pritikin Longevity Center’s one- and two-week health retreats, which involve comprehensive cardiovascular and weight-loss medical care from Pritikin’s board-certified physicians, educational seminars in healthy living and disease prevention, and customized fitness classes, all taught by university-degreed professionals.

The new cooking classes are very different from the traditional classes taught at Pritikin since 1975 because "these new classes are all ‘hands-on,’" explains Executive Chef Anthony Stewart, winner of Five Gold Medals in culinary competitions and educated at Cornell University. "The classes are so personalized that our guests will feel they are preparing meals at home. There’s no better way to learn how to cook."

What’s particularly appealing about the new cooking classes, says Chef Anthony, "is that people will realize how simple preparing a healthy and tasty meal can be. Most people think cooking is a burdensome, time-consuming affair. Not so, I say! Our guests will leave our classes masters of easy-to-prepare, enjoyable, and creative meals."
